Social Action

Bring Social Action to Life with I Have A Voice

We help young people turn ideas into impact.

At I have a voice, we support schools, colleges, universities, and youth groups to run engaging and empowering social action projects that build skills and confidence, have real-world impact, and inspire civic participation.

Ready to get inspired and take action?

Get in touch to find out how we can support your next social action project.

Whether you're just starting out or looking to deepen your impact, we offer:

Workshops

Interactive sessions that explore social action, campaigning and how to make change happen. From understanding power and influence to crafting compelling pitches, our workshops are designed to be practical, inclusive, and energising.

Toolkits

Ready-to-use resources that guide young people through every stage of a social action project - from identifying issues to planning activities and evaluating impact. Perfect for educators, youth workers, and student leaders.

Build life skills

Our programmes build transferable skills in:

  • Communication and public speaking

  • Research and critical thinking

  • Teamwork and leadership

  • Strategic planning and problem-solving

Why It Works

We don’t do one-size-fits-all. Every session is tailored to your group’s needs, interests, and goals. Whether it’s a one-off workshop or a longer-term programme, we help young people find their voice and use it to have a positive impact within their community.

UK Year of Service

We provided training to all three cohorts of the UK Year of Service, which was run by the National Citizens Service. We ran full day programmes covering how social action contributes to society and speaking up effectively. We worked with over 400 18-24 year olds - 86% were NEET.

Parklife

The Parklife project enables Key Stage 2 students to reimagine their local park so it meets the needs of their community and promotes biodiversity. We support them to pitch their proposals to their local council and take direct action to create environmental and social change.

News to Reuse

We incubated a youth-led, fair fashion campaign that wants fashion supply chains to be transparent so that consumers know the environmental impact of their clothing and the garment workers' human rights.

Politics 4 All

This youth-led campaign is calling for everyone to get good quality political education so they know how to engage with democratic processes and take social action; and for people from all walks of life to be involved in the policymaking process.
