Youth Voice Network

We support young people aged 11–18 in England to build their political literacy, share creative ideas, and amplify youth voices across the democratic sector.

What is the Youth Voice Network?

As the delivery partner for the Electoral Commission's Youth Voice Network for England, we create engaging educational materials, informative and fun social media campaigns and support their research, to increase the proportion and diversity of young people getting involved in our democracy.

We provide an open, accessible environment for all young people to build their political literacy, get creative, share their ideas, and have their voices heard!

Best of all? Our Youth Voice Network does not need any prior knowledge of how elections or how our democracy works to get stuck in.

Get Involved in Democracy

The Youth Voice Network has designed resources for other young people to use to engage in democracy.

🗳️

These include workshop plans, slide decks, discussion guides, and activity ideas you can use in your school or community.

We encourage you to lead sessions in your schools and community, celebrating democracy and explaining voting and participation.

"Some topics that particularly interest me are LGBTQ+ rights and neurodiversity awareness. The Youth Voice network has really helped me develop my political advocacy and communication skills.
If I were a biscuit, I think I would be a chocolate digestive - reliable and dependable but with a little extra flair!"

"I am passionate about empowering youth and creating change. Being part of the Youth Voice Network has been an amazing experience; it’s given me the opportunity to share ideas, represent young voices, and be part of projects that make a difference. I love reading, writing, and, most of all, sports. "

Zani, (she/her)

"I’ve been involved in youth advocacy for almost three years now, and what I’ve realised is that it takes a crowd to drive a campaign.
If you love debating and using your voice as a tool, get involved with the Youth Voice Network!"

Hamza, (he/him)

“Being part of the Youth Voice Network gives you access to many opportunities, but more importantly, you get to work on projects that make real-world change. I am interested in many different things, such as international relations, interfaith work, and technology, but I can still contribute effectively - so even if you think you can’t, get in touch!"

Maanashi, (she/her)

"From taking part, I’ve gained the confidence to express my own thoughts in discussions. If you are thinking about joining, you should definitely do so, as you will have an amazing experience and gain invaluable skills.
A fun fact about me is that I’m a classical dancer, and I do a dance form called Bharatanatyam."
